Guidelines for Abstracts
• Abstracts are invited for poster and perhaps oral
presentation sessions on topics related to the
program.
• Abstracts will be published electronically and in the program. The abstract body is one paragraph, 250 words in Microsoft Word.

The Program Committee will review the abstracts and determine the presentation schedule and format based on the merits of the abstracts and the constraints of the program. Abstracts that lack scientific content or merit, or merely announce the availability of a resource or service, will not be published. “Publication Only” status may be
assigned to worthy abstracts that cannot be
scheduled for platform or poster.
• Scheduling decisions will be made by the Program Committee. Notification will be transmitted by April 25, 2003.
Proffered Presentations
• If accepted for Special Symposia, presentations will be scheduled for periods of 15 minutes including discussion.
• If accepted for Poster Discussions, presentations will be scheduled for a poster display. Authors will be scheduled to stand with their posters for two 60-minute periods. Posters may be used at the discretion of the Program Committee.
